Hope you don't mind. I had one more shot I wanted to get in my album from the other day's shoot of my wild honeysuckle blossoms. Here you can see the pale yellow and white blossoms together. The background is the lattice work fencing the vine grows on and through, with the green grass beyond.
Beautiful lighting, Maggie ... such a lovely flower! Love the shadows and the lattice fencing. Your yard is so attractive and green. The heat here is actually turning the grass brown. Feels like we went from cold Winter to hot Summer ... no Spring. You shot this one early morning. Perfect timing.
I love the fragrance of honeysuckle!! We use to have some growing across the road on a pasture fence but it disappeared. I don't know if it got choked out by something else or what? Great lighting on this and the lattice is a nice frame Maggie!!
@karenann Thank you, Karen! That little bit of rain we got really helped for a few days. Now everything is going brown again. The grass is NOT that green anymore. You can hear it crunch under your feet. Strange how we're in a drought and England floods with too much rain.
I love honeysuckle. Reminds me of my great grandmother. She had it growing all over her back yard when I was a kid. Can't see or smell it without thinking of her. Lovely photo

Gorgeous capture of the flowers. They are so beautiful. I just think in this composition, the colour of the background might have overpowered the flowers.
So lovely, Maggie. . .we have so many problems with invasive honeysuckle, but there still is no more lovely smell or sight to me. And I agree with all these comments - your vision and creative artistry with light is constantly amazing and inspirational.

Th is is my favorite one of these! The green and dark patterns in back and that one of the blossoms is that yellowish color that we know means they are "juicier" and mature.
