I may have mentioned that I have to force myself to look at the bigger picture. My tendency is to focus on the small things in my life because I can handle those. The big picture can be frightening, immobilizing and overwhelming - beyond any control. Some advice I've been given... "Get over it" - "Suck it up and move on" - "Just let it go" - etc.
On another note, I had a good visit with my little mother at the hospital today. The nurses say she's doing pretty good with her physical therapy and she's less combative with them about getting up on her feet when she's NOT supposed to do that without them. When you're a very independent person and that's jerked away from you - it's devastating and heartbreaking to say the very least. I really want to thank those of you who prayed and wished her well! She just might be getting there.
I'm like you and tend to go for the small detail rather than the bigger picture and never stopped to really analyze why - but it may just be similar to what you were saying. Interesting analysis. This is a pretty shot with the lighting.
Such good news re your mother, upwards and onwards. Now you can take it easier and do something for yourself. So many different ones there still, lovely lighting.
Lovely scene and capture. Is that an empty water bottle I see in the bush? Sad to see people leaving their rubbish behind them. Glad your mum is on the mend
This is a lovely capture and how most of the trees in my neighborhood look currently. Happy to hear your mom is improving. FYI, I'm trying NOT to be a big picture person right now - I can only find peace in the moment...nothing wrong with that, I say!
@linnypinny Well, Lin... I was hoping this wouldn't happen to the trees in Tenn. You don't have to be a big picture person. Be who you are - there is nothing wrong with that. Thank you for your kind comments!
beautiful image, I am happy that your mother is improving, I seem to have understood that you are an only child like me, and having a mother with a strong character is difficult to manage, and not being able to share with a brother or sister is a difficult time heavy....however try to have time for yourself.....
@santina No, Santina. You didn't say anything wrong and you are right. No siblings to help with this time. Thank you for your kindness and I will try. I had the day off from running and hospitals today. =)
@sherimiya Pinterest. Under my profile there are links to my 365er FAV boards. Strictly from what I FAV from 365. I don't pin everything I FAV and certainly NOT without the owner's approval. But, I do like to pin what's special and meaningful to me. =)
@dutchothotmailcom Thank you, Esther! I will try.
@milaniet Thank you very much, Milanie. I've been forced to see myself all too often for weaknesses and strengths, which is not a bad thing. =)
@bkbinthecity Thanks, BKB!
@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana! Not quite yet. But maybe soon.
@kjarn Thank you, Kathy!
