She has something wrong with her right eye. But she's eating and flying. Doubtful she will live very long like that though.
Forecasters calling for rain and possible thunderstorms today. Yesterday, there was a huge cell phone outage and they still don't know what caused it. I'm inclined to think "hackers" but, it could have been human error.
@rontu Yes. For all I know she may have been attacked by the bully bird (mocking bird) that dive bombs the rest of them at the feeders. I'm ready with the super soaker when I see it though.
Oh dear how sad. I am sure she will be fine though. We had a magpie who visited us a few years ago and he only had one eye. He survived quite well and visited for a long time..
@mccarth1 Informative link. Thanks, Kerry. My feeders get emptied pretty quick and get cleaned regularly. I'm glad she was the only one I've seen with this bacteria.
@corinnec Thank you so much, Corinne. Doughtful. I've learned that it's a bacterial infection among the house finches that started in Maryland and has spread. Hopefully, this is the only one I'll see with it.
@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana. Yes, it is pitiful to see.
@craftymeg Maybe.
@bigmxx Yes, keep those fingers crossed.
@robz Very sad.
@bobbic Thank you, Bobbi.
@kwind Thank you.
@danette Me too.
@haskar Thanks, Haskar. She's eating okay.
@pusspup No, not at all.
@wh2021 Thank you.
@4rky Thank you. Me, too!
