Old burn barrel in the garden plot... by marlboromaam

Old burn barrel in the garden plot...

That old barrel hasn't seen a fire in a very long time and the garden hasn't grown any vegetables and herbs in a long time too. Just lots of wild-grape vines and weeds at the moment. I read ashes from wood and yard debris is great to mix with the garden soil and I was good to do that for a long time. Shot in black and white (NO CONVERSION) for intimate landscapes.

I had no idea that wood ashes is good to mix in the soul. Is this still a area oo your property? Love the look of the old barrel, nice to do something with it.

This is terrific in black and white. I love the little peek of the vine growing in the barrel.

The white wood on the edge really adds the impact for b/w! Great!

@dutchothotmailcom Still an area on my property. The old burn barrel is rusted out. Needs to be hauled off. The garden plot might be a garden again next year.

@mittens Thanks, Marilyn!

@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana! It's virginia creeper growing in the barrel. =)

@ljmanning Thank you, Laura!

Nature is laying claim to that old barrel. That vine inside must like the old ashes.
