Black earth tongue closeup...

Last upload for this fungus/shroom - a closer view. Club-shaped, smooth and firm. This was the one my neighbor handed to me. I put it back in the ground close to the house and the next day - it was gone! WTH?!!! More info on this geoglossum fungi here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geoglossum
