Deer sign... NOT for city slickers

I really hope this does NOT offend anyone, but I'm an old country gal so it doesn't bother me. It's actually good to know the deer have been in my patch of woods. Deer are the largest of the wild critters around here. We do have lots of rabbits, possums and raccoons which I've seen on numerous occasions. I've even seen one bobcat and one coy wolf on a couple of very, very early mornings in the dark crossing the road, but they are not the most elusive of creatures around here... I've heard a fox call late at night through my open window, but have yet to see one. At first, I thought it was a woman screaming in the woods until I started doing some research and found out it was a fox call!
It just adds another texture and tone to the shot.

We are a suburban area with a deer population that has to be managed. This is a familiar sight.

@njmom3 They do have to be managed when we encroach on their habitats, unfortunately.

@ludwigsdiana I never find them in the front or back yard. Just in the woods. Interesting that you find them in your yard.

@koalagardens LOL! Thank you!

I especially like the two pellets on the left leaf... they stand out from the crowd! Lovely compost-ition.

Yeah. See that a lot in our yard, too. They regard Clare's garden as their personal salad bar — grrrrrr

@kvphoto LOL! Probably NOT what I should have posted, but thank you, KV!

@rhoing Sorry, Thom! They like to eat my azalea and boxwood bushes. Although I'm never around when they do - I just see the aftermath.

@marlboromaam no reason not to post... it’s a natural thing... I was just trying to be funny... hope I succeeded!
