The final result... by marlboromaam

The final result...

Elsa left 2.5 inches or 6.35 centimeters on my patch. Can't speak for everyone else. The weather predicted 2-4 inches for the midlands, but the higher rainfall totals ended up further east toward the low country and the coast.
That’s quite a bit of rain in a relatively short amount of time.

Very nice rain gauge.

Hopefully all that rain means cooler temps for you

A very stylish rain gauge, most people I know have a plastic funnel ;-)

Wow - we have rain forecasted every day for another 4 days or so...we'll see...nothing yet today

@k9photo It's not uncommon to get that with a passing thunderstorm, Kate.

@wakelys Thanks, Susan! Was a Christmas gift. My old one froze and burst.

@ryan161 LOL! I wish, Ryan. It meant more humidity.

@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana! Just can't let water freeze in it or it will break.

@linnypinny We need the rain, but no one needs to be flooded.

@dutchothotmailcom Not too bad for us, Esther. =)

@kvphoto I think it was about a 12-hour period, KV. I just told Kate that it wasn't unusual to get this from a thunderstorm this time of year. It's like the bottom drops out of a bucket around here sometimes. Have to pull over and stop if you're on the road because your windshield wipers can't keep up. =)
