This is where 90 percent of the art I've shot with my phone has come from. My neurologist and cardiologist offices are in there. I shudder to think about how many miles I've put on my little car for my medical visits and mom's this year. Will be interesting to tally them up!
I hope your doctors have helped you. I have lost faith in doctors over the years, medicine is a practice and I hate the guessing work. Try this, manage it, pain is not always easy to live with.
I’ve seen more than my share inside hospitals and doctors surgeries. My neurologist wants to give me Botox for my migraines, I have a few weeks to think about the options. It’s either Botox or a new drug that she believes is not as good. From all The medications I have tried, only one has helped ease the intensity. I am still getting them everyday. It’s a costly decision to have Botox but if it helps me stay sane it might be worth it. No guarantees like always. Sorry I became a little self orientated in my response.
The gel injections for my knees have helped a bunch. My neurologist will be treating the neuropathy in my right thigh next and then she'll revisit my back pain. At least she is seeing me vs. talking to me on a damn computer screen. I don't call that medicine. It's a farce! Now maybe for depression, anxiety and mental disorders the computer visit or phone call works, but NOT for physical problems. I have my own complaints about MDs pushing drugs instead of practicing medicine. My body doesn't handle drugs too well and revolts.
@marlboromaam problem is there are always side effects to everything you take. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Doctor prescribes something then says don’t take it. I’m left trying to manage the meds and the side effects. A long road to travel. I know how you feel.
I can assure you that computer and/or phone consults do not work for depression, anxiety and mental disorders. Its is virtually impossible to get a true feel for a patient, no matter what their illness is, unless you are face to face
@sugarmuser I'm sorry, Sharon! I hope something can be done for you. Do check out the link above!
@joysabin Thank you! It's poor Sharon that has the migraines. I'm still dealing with my chronic back pain. But it will work itself out. =)
@kjarn Well, I'm glad someone else can testify to the farce of computer screens for a diagnosis. They seem to be pushing for it in the USA right now. What a joke!
It's nice to go for a medical visit and being able to admire art works. My community health center is very nice but there is no art.
I need to trust my doctors and whenever this does not happen I just change.
@kjarn It was gaining ground here before COVID. They say it's better for people who live rural and can't get to the doctor. I wonder what malpractice insurance cost for such a thing? Same, less, or more? I say a hands on examination has to make a better judgement of what might be ailing a patient. My chiropractor felt my herniated disc on my spine before he ever saw it on the MRI.
@corinnec That sounds like a good project for you, Corinne! Gather some local fellow photographers and get some local pictures, get some businesses to donate printing and framing them, and get them hung in these medical buildings. =)
@kjarn We have had several phone consults, both Neil and I and we come away confused with lots of answers unanswered. But I do the same when I see some doctors :)
@sugarmuser I don't blame you. Medicine is confusing enough as it is but phone/video consults are just so much more difficult both for the patient and the medical professional.
Lovely building with all those lines and shapes. It has been interesting to follow all the comments. I guess we all have our issues, aches and pains. Hope you all get the right help.

Interesting dialogue above. Currently sitting here in a fog after starting new medication!!
@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana!
@wakelys Thank you, Susan! I hope you don't have any other side effects.
