The morning of 1/16...

Will Connor and I got up to everything covered in ice with freezing rain and windy conditions. Tree limbs falling right and left from the weight of the ice. One took out the gate on the side, a bunch of huge limbs down in the front and back. Power was off and on most of the day, but it could have been a whole lot worse. Phone shot from the back bedroom window.
Lovely shot of those frosted trees, it sounds quite horrific though. Hope all is ok again.

@ludwigsdiana Thank you, Diana. So far so good. Just a lot of clean up to be done. Need chainsaws!

Superb shot, though. And it looks fantastic on dark mode.

Great capture and it sounds like your weather is pretty nasty there. I hope your power came back on.

@monikozi Thank you, Monica!

@wakelys LOL! The weatherman predicted it correctly for once.

@mittens Thank you, Marilyn! Power came back on. The power company was ready for it, so had teams working through the day and night.

@blueberry1222 We haven't had a bad ice storm since the early 70s. I was really hoping for snow though.

Glad the problems the storm created didn't last real long - give me snow over ice any day! That's a real problem.
January 17th, 2022
@milaniet Snow is much nicer and easier on the trees.
January 17th, 2022
The trees are frozen! I hope the weather will improve soon!

This is unfamiliar weather to me, but it gives an interesting twist to the landscape.
