Phone shot of the last pair of sneakers I bought for work.
I had to get a new pair of athletic shoes and custom orthotics every six months when I worked at the big warehouse store. They just got worn down and they weren't cheap either. You were guaranteed to walk 12 to 15 miles per day on hard concrete, up and down metal stairs on three levels. That's an average of 60 miles per week or a minimum of 3,120 miles per year. Not counting mandatory overtime and peak seasons. After nearly eight years, that's why my knees are wore out.
Oh my. They should at least give you PT to help strengthen your knees. That’s what we did when I was running marathons. This is perfect for the mundane challenge.
@shutterbug49 Thank you. Oh no, if you did any therapy - you got it on your own and on your own time. I'll be starting my 4th round of gel injections next month. LOL! I'm getting used to needles.
@brillomick LOL! Sketchers weren't a good shoe for being on your feet all day long when I was working. The New Balance probably would've lasted longer if I hadn't put all the miles on them. =)
@joemuli Thank you, Joe. I don't work there now, but I had custom orthotics for inserts. They costs as much as the shoes did. My feet were fine, just wore out my knees.

@mittens Thank you, Marilyn. It was exhausting.
