Found this one last year. The SCNP considers it a wildflower. It's Gamochaeta purpurea - commonly known as Spoonleaf Purple Everlasting or Purple Cudweed. Native to the Carolinas and Georgia, more info on this (what I call a real weed) here - http://namethatplant.net/plantdetail.shtml?plant=2570
