Rainy day fog was incredible this morning on the way back from dropping off my niece at school.
I knew what I wanted to capture, but unfortunately didn't get the right exposure. I was also lacking in rain gear and / or a telephoto lens. I did some processing in Photoshop to increase the contrast of the guy with the umbrella (it was reeeeeeallly low contrast), but unfortunately had to blow out the sky a bit.
Oh well. That's okay. I'll try again next rainy foggy day. Shouldn't be too long since I am here in coastal Vancouver British Columbia Canada for another week! Hahaha
This continues my personal monthly challenge: frame all my shots vertically. My goal is to develop an eye for balance when framing in portrait orientation. I welcome your feedback about whether you feel the shot is balanced / works.
@blueberry1222 Thank you, Krista! I appreciate your comment! I was feeling uncertain about the processing since it is is so dramatically different than what I had in mind for this shot. But I'm glad to hear that you like it anyways. :)
@kali66 Nope, not on the list yet. Still figuring my way around this place! Want to hook up with the get pushed folks too, but I haven't shored up the courage yet. :)
@mathilde22cat favorite picture from your project. :). I think it is awesome and important that you post on the threads ...it gives other people a chance to see your art who might not...:)
@nanderson Oh yah! That page! I am just starting to get involved in the discussions and challenges. I enjoy feeling part of this community and am getting inspired by everyone's work, including yours! (I just followed you, btw. :) )
