Assist/Emergency

This is the other side of the pole that I photographed and posted on the 16th:

What is says is "Assist/Emergency" and it has a small blue light coming off the top and box with a button you can push for assistance, neither of which were visible in the other photo. When I took that one, I was so captivated by the seemingly random/abstract peeling paint that I didn't look at the whole thing.

At the time I was taking this photo and a few others, at the moment I was taking a close-up of the emergency box, I looked around and saw that the campus police officer in his car had paused behind me, looking at what I was doing. I assured him my photographic intentions were innocent -- just documenting the utilitarian nature of my previous artful photo.

Not much art here. I was in a hurry to take the photos and get out of the hot sun. Frank has the camera with him out of town for three days, and I frankly haven't been very inspired to make the most of the iPod's limited capabilities.
Nice... and that sure is a huge light! I'm laughing at the police officer's curiosity because I'm sure we all have people looking at us like "what is he/she seeing/doing" all the time.

The previous capture now makes perfect sense! - Check out Aarons Juliphone thread if you would like some inspiration for the iPod -= http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/18401/it-s-jul-iphone
