Composition in Purple

This is a last minute attempt at something for the white background technique challenge -- part of my necklace against the "flashlight" app (plain bright white screen) on my iPod.

I confess to drastically upping the exposure because, lo and behold, that bright white screen doesn't read very bright white no matter what white balance setting I use.

I'm also tagging it for my get pushed challenge from Lyn @lynnilou who coincidentally just challenged me to "a minimalist capture, bursting with colour on a white background." I hasten to assure Lyn, however, that this is not the only response she'll get to the challenge. It has color, but I wouldn't call it "bursting with color." I will go in search of something else to photograph and a better white background than the iPod screen :-)
@lynilou This is the first (done rather hastily), but not the last.

Lovely effect with the light on those pretty stones and all the negative space.

@lynnilou -- oops, I realize now there's a typo in the tag above. Apologies. Hopefully this will get you a notification.

I like its simplicity, the light works so well.

You did a great job on those two challenges with this one photo. The purple beads are lustrous! They glow! fav
