Fork Week -- Day 7 by mcsiegle

Fork Week -- Day 7

I got out the DSLR on Friday and that night (rather late, actually) the Fork and I began working on artsy images. This one was using a mirror. He doesn't care for it too much. It makes him look "all washed out." "No, no, no..." I said to him, "that's art!. We're trying to create art here. Everyone knows you're a solid, upstanding fork. You're a real brick for agreeing to pose for me this week!" The mirror was O.K. We had more fun doing stuff with the iPad. He really got into that.

I have other "art" versions of this same picture, which was pretty basic to begin with--had a good time experimenting with various processing on this and other shots until late last night.

I know that one of the things I was going to do was post a picture every day, and made it to Day Four. I didn't post the pictures for Friday or Saturday on those days -- but in my defense, I took the photos on Friday, processed them on Saturday, and am posting them on Sunday. So I worked on the challenge every day. I'll put more Fork pictures on my Alternates album. I could if I wanted to, have a second Fork Week -- a Fork Fortnight! But I'd better check to see who my next get pushed partner is and what challenge they'll give me. I seriously doubt it will explicitly involve forks.
Very artsy indeed and worthy of a fork museum for certain! I like the high key effect and the texture in this one!

@northy Thank you so much for this challenge. It's been fun! I think the Fork will come back out for photo shoots in the future. In the meantime, I've not yet posted all those I prepared last night.

@grammyn Man, you're fast! Do you get email notices when friends post, or are you just on 365 all the time? Thanks so much for noticing the texture and for all the commenting during Fork Week.

I like the gradient look of this.

@randystreat The gradient was what appealed to me with this treatment. I played with it a bit -- it's so hard to decide which direction I want to go sometimes.

I absolutely love your whimsey and storytelling ... Your challenge is to shoot opposites. I can't wait to see what you come up with. However, if you'd prefer a different challenge, let me know and I'll set another.
