I tend to photograph things much more than people. When I went into Dillons for something, I decided to take a few quick photos of the people working there. This young woman is filling orders that people have made online or through the Dillons app. That's become big business for them. They may have had that service before COVID, I don't know. But it has really grown during and ever since.
@beryl Thanks, Beryl. They may offer delivery within a certain area. Not sure, as I haven't made use of the service at all. Most people just drive to the store and pick their order up. Some parking spaces are dedicated to that. I suppose you call that you are there and in spot #6 or some such thing. I remember when my grandmother called in a weekly order to her long-standing grocery store and they delivered. Perhaps things are coming full circle.
We have something similar at our Walmart and they must come pick up their order. It is convenient but I like the idea of price shopping and for fresh goods like produce and things like that I don’t like the idea of someone else picking my food. Great shot of this young lady at work
The young people (and I say that because it's been young people that have been filling this role around here) don't get as much credit as they deserve.
