Jenice Times Three by mcsiegle

Jenice Times Three

For the get pushed challenge given to me by @cazla. See my explanation and first attempt posted here:

I have a long way to go to learn how to take good pictures of people, but you learn by doing. This is my brother's wife, Jenice. She's a super sister-in-law. I went to her house last Friday to photograph her, and she fed me lunch so I wouldn't have to drive out to the Old Home Place to eat after getting off work at noon. My 7-year-old niece was off school that day, so I got to hang out with two of my favorite females. In the one photo, you see Jenice ready to take some pictures, along with me, of her daughter. She has bought a good DSLR and attended a weekend workshop in Wichita a while back, taught by a professional photographer.
@cazla here is another (well, several other) shots for the get pushed challenge you gave me. Posted belatedly, but I wanted another go at it. Whew...it's harder than it looks to photograph people (or at least adults). I really, really need to practice more -- and to get more creative.

You've done well with this as she looks so natural and at ease. Nice use of different types of lighting as well.

You have done really well here. She looks quite relaxed and at ease with having her picture taken.
I particularly like the photo with her in the garden - it always helps if your models have something to do.

Small world! I know Jenice! She encouraged me to join 365.
