Again, see comments on other shot that is similar. Although, this shot has more tension than the other shot, and in that way it is kind of cool. You do have a more rule of thirds composition, and I think that is why it is more pleasing than the other shot. But focus is on the branch again, and the head of the bird is blurred and focus is lost. This might be partially due to the f/5.6, but at that distance 200mm I wonder if it was the widest aperture set by the camera. I don't have a lens that could go f/8 at 200 unless it was really bright outside. But, I think that the aperture here might be to blame for the shallow DOF.

Thanks! I realize the focus on the bird isn't great, the camera kept wanting to focus on the branches.
