........... these bad boys will be plucked and gutted!! But oh to be a fly on the wall when my husband and son attempt this for the first time.

How funny we have had pheasant for tea. We have given up plucking even though Harry passed his Young Farmers test in his youth. He just puts a knife along the breast bone & cuts the bread out bypassing the need for plucking. Might be easier! The same with the legs & peel the skin off with the feathers!

must admit I prefer my pheasants live ! i often see one on the way work strolling down the middle of a suburban road here in Croydon! I have named him Phillip i get such buzz seeing him he is very beautiful and in the middle of a town I am amazed he has survived.

MM! lucky you. If I have the pleasure of these magnificent creatures I have started to skin as it is easier. Lovely recipes with breast and pheasant soup with the rest. delicious.
