Today, I received next month's roster for the Logan Art Gallery. I've been working there for 12 years this year; and don't intend to stop. It's a great place and I've seen so many changes.
Next month is Volunteers Week on the week of 14th - 20 May. I'll be wearing my badge on the day I'm working on the roster. Being a volunteer is great! I love it... and it's wonderful when it means paying back to your community through working for it for nothing.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
I must say, we use so many volunteers where I work and we alwyas have a big banquet for them, and all the senior staff, administration, etc dop the serving of the meal. They do such a great job,and their time is so much appreciated.
@digitalrn Oh... we do have a Christmas Party at the end of the year to an arty place where we're bussed there and have lunch provided all for free and we're allowed to bring one other person with us. :)
@loey5150 Actually, I also received a certificate acknowledging me as a valued volunteer of Logan City. I didn't know I had it until later last night when I was clearing the table up and found it amongst the rest of the paper work that came with it. :)
