A Bottle of Girl by myautofocuslife

A Bottle of Girl

I made this little girl many years ago. She is standing in a little glass bottle. (It used to be a mini bottle of jam. The jam was delicious!)

She is really tiny, only about 6cm (2in) tall.

I made her out of polymer clay. Sometimes I get the urge to work with my hands and when I do, I play with clay, sew with felt or make some jewelry. Polymer clay is super fun because it's soft, mess-free and comes in many colors.

I've never gotten around to naming my little girl. But, getting her out for this shot and looking at her, I was thinking that she looks like a Mary. What do you think?

PS. I know she has no eyes. None of the little girls I make has eyes. I have no idea why. I feel they have no need of eyes. But, even without them, I know they can see perfectly well. (Should Strange be my middle name?)
Cute

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to visit and leave a comment. I appreciate every bit of feedback I get. I love all your name suggestions too!

@karenann: *LOL* I'm no artist! I just enjoy working with my hands. It's a very satisfying experience to be able to create something with one's hands. You'll probably be seeing more of my clay stuff or handmade jewelry because just about everything I make is small and easy to take photos of! Heh.

Again, a big, heartfelt "Thank You!" to everyone for your supportive words!

She's cute. I like the simplicity of the photo. Maybe your girls don't have eyes because we see with our souls (okay, a little cheesy)

November 25th, 2011
Mary is pretty cool, and no she don't need eyes. I think with those red locks, she would have an Scottish Accent.
