Did you know that sepia is also "a dark brown ink or pigment originally prepared from the secretion of the cuttlefish"? I didn't. Thank you, Google. From now on, every time I see a sepia-toned photo, I will think of cuttlefish.
This Christmas ornament is one of my favorite. It's handmade from wood and cloth. It's so old, she is starting to develop little spots of discolor on her face and dress. But she still makes me smile to see her.
She is a beautiful Christmas decoration, and no i didn't know where sepia colour came from, we learn new things all the time on 365. thanks for sharing.
It's SO sweet! Love the focus and treatment on this- fantastic use of the cuttlefish! I have a little doll ornament with a wooden bead for a head as well- I think its about 27 years old....it's one of my oldest ornaments! :)
What a neat Christmas ornament. I like this shot in sepia. I've come across that little known fact about the cuttlefish before in a trivia question I think.
She makes me smile too. Thanks for sharing her with us. Love the sepia tone. I didn't know that it comes from the cuttlefish. Thanks for the info as well :D

You do the most beautiful processing work . . ever! But I sure didn't know that sepia came from cuttlefish. Love the color and tones of this and the pof. GREAT work.
Again, thank you, everyone! I appreciate your comments. Thank you for taking the time!
@Leah: I use a 12-year-old version of Paint Shop Pro to edit my photos. I usually adjust the contrast levels. For this photo, I colorized it with the sepia tone, then added some "broken line" texture for that aged look.
Nicely done
