This little jewelry box fits in the palm of my hand. I had bought it in Turkey over 10 years ago. It's made of camel bone and hand-painted all over with pictures of dancing girls. The box itself is shaped and opens like a treasure chest, with a little removable lid (what you see in the shot) inside.
I love handmade little souvenirs and I always look for them when I travel.
It sounds quite amazing and like a lot of work has gone into it. I love collecting something special in places we have travelled to as well. It's such a nice memento.
You have an eye for spotting the unique, Livia. Great shot and display of this piece. Shows it off so beautifully. Love the jewelry too . . that box is so tiny and perfect. Great job on the photo . . looks like a display in a lovely boutique.
