Handmade paper is something I love. I like collecting different kinds. The translucent, fibrous quality of handmade paper fascinates me. I particularly love the inclusion of leaves, because it gives the paper an arty, textural feel.
I took this shot after taping a sheet of handmade paper up against a window pane, so that the light shone through it.
this is very cool! now i remember that i have a handmade paper journal somewhere and the cover is made of leaves! the texture in this shot looks awesome!!
I didn't even know that there were stores around that sold that kind of paper anymore. It's so beautiful . . this piece of paper could be framed. It's so divinely fragile and delicately patterned. Love the idea of taking the photo the way that you did, Liva. Great work. :) Oh...I'm a big believer that imperfection is beautiful. It's the definition of "real beaty!"
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has taken the time to visit and write a comment. Thank you! I'm really glad that you've enjoyed seeing the leaves on the handmade paper. The paper is too pretty to use and I have no intention of ever using it. From time to time, I take it out to look at it and it always makes me smile.
Again, thank you for all your kind words and thoughtful comments!
