More paper made from natural fibers, only it doesn't look like paper!
This is a close-up shot of a rolled-up sheet of abaca fiber paper. The fibers are thick and strong. They come from the trunk of the abaca plant. Abaca fibers can be woven and made into ropes, baskets, mats, paper, etc.
I bought my roll of abaca fiber paper from a craft store because I like the look and feel of it. It's great for mixed media craft work but I think it's too lovely, so I'm never using it.
Remarkable. I thought you were sharing hay from a Christmas manger scene! I do love the look of handmade paper with all it's flecks and pieces, but I've never seen any this natural.
Hey- that looks like Hay :) Missed you Livia- I have not caught up with my pics but that's not stopping me from catching up with yours! Hope you had a wonderful holiday and Happy New Year!!

@chasingwishes: I googled and found this. ( http://www.save-on-crafts.com/abacafiber2.html ) It shows what the paper looks like as a long sheet all rolled up.
Again, thank you, everyone! I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas day!
