Joseph Addison: "What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity."
I want to say a special "Thank you!" to everyone for your encouraging comments on yesterday's photograph. I still think it was not a good capture at all but your kind words are like big, bright smiles to me. You are a reason why I am making an effort to carry on with my project. It's a long way yet but I do want to finish, and I have so much to learn! 8)
Wow! Such elegant details here, Livia! Wish my eyes would allow me to get this close in on things! Love the colors here of the deep reds with the yellow tips! Beautiful shot, gal! Outstanding!
Love this macro along with his quote. This flower not only loves the sunshine . . it "smiles!" A frown can cut like a knife . . criticism can end hope. A smile can turn one's life around. BEAUTIFUL, Livia.
I still don't understand why didn't like yesterdays photo. But I do understand the feeling of not knowing what's a good photo or not, its all so subjective and everyone here is so supportive. Today's picture once again is beautiful.
I wanted to ask you what you did for lighting in this? Do you have a fancy set up, or anything in particular? I have nothing in terms of lighting (except natural light :0) and I'm starting to think about getting something. Just not sure what I need.
@stuckinoz It's natural lighting. All my indoor shots are dependent on natural lighting: it's afternoon light coming in through a closed glass window. Keeping the window closed, I think, filters the sunlight nicely and gives it a softer quality. 8)
I'm so ready for spring!!
I am grateful for your time, your visit and your support. Thank you so much!
Just a note: It is lovely for you to thank everyone, but unless you hit reply by their comment, they will likely not know.
