I believe, if the flower of a red torch ginger plant were a person, she'd be a showgirl. It's a wildly attractive flower, big and colorful and showy. You see the fringe here but the entire flower was the size of my fist, blooming at the end of a thick and upright stalk that was shoulder-height, and looked like a flaming torch. Maybe that's why it's called the torch ginger. 8D
i thought it was the lining of a healthy stomach. hehehe! am still thinking about that blue pepper seeds shot. hahaha! great macro. you never disappoint.
Beautiful!!! and when I saw the title I started singing: Her name was Lola.. you familiar with the song? :) Here it is: Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would meringue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa, they fell in love
(Copa Copacabana)
His name was Rico, he wore a diamond
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Lola dancin' there
And when she finished, he called her over
But Rico went a bit too far, Tony sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was blood and a single gun shot
But just who shot who?
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa, she lost her love
A great, big, showgirl-inspired, colorful, bigger-than-life "THANK YOU!" to everyone!
Thank you for visiting my album. Thank you for sharing my love of flowers. Thank you for being so encouraging and kind in your comments. I am very grateful. 8)
