My favorite subject to shoot is flowers. Because I enjoy seeing flowers and I enjoy being among flowers. More so than being among men. Unless the men are good-looking. But I'm married, so all I can do is ogle. And I do, because I'm not dead yet. 8D
(It's going to be one of those days. My mind wanders. All over the bloody place. Before it makes a double somersault and half twist as it dives into The Gutter.)
This orchid reminds me of giraffes, by the way. And then I think of French toast! What does it remind you of?
Mine diived headlong into the gutter! You see the sticky up bit in the middle of the flower...? with a sort of round cap on its head...? Yeah, that. Then, looking at the same bit, I thought, actually, it looks like a man (as opposed to just part of a man) with a very big nose.... and I was straight back into the gutter! Plus ca change...
Looks like a prince riding a strange birdy creature whose head looks like an ostrich.....yup, I'm loooong gone lol. Great shot and lighting, really beautiful!!

Livia, Orchids, always, reminds me of something from another planet...Beautiful yet Mysterious...The center is like an alien, with weird cloths on, getting ready to slide down the a slide. One orchid I've seen looks like it's wearing MC Hammer pants...lol...so glad I'm not alone!
Luscious colors! Your comment about 'ogling' reminds me about a friend's post on Facebook yesterday.... he was ogling a beautiful woman at the gas station and walked smack into a post... he made quite an impression and she got a good laugh!
So do I , I mean,I love flowers and I love to take pic of flowers ,make collages of it and I love to grow them. And I love people that love flowers, And... I love beautiful pic of flowers . So many reasons to watch you beautiful pictures
Firstly - its beautiful !! I love your photos of flowers. It now reminds me of French Toast - seeing as you mentioned it 😊 But also the little piece in the middle to me looks like a dog standing up in superhero costume with little wings on his back. My mind is weird 😊

mine's been living in the gutter a long time ago, but you said 'french toast' so i get out of there and find your offering is a flower that looks like a man with a hard hat on humping on something on top of big bird's head and being chased by...where's the french toast? i want french toast! okay, i go back in to the gutter. great shot, by the way.
Haha!!! I like your post. Well, it looks like a bird to me--the beak and surrounded by a frill on the head. Then, I see a smaller bird perched on the beak. Hmm, wonder what Freud would say about that?
It's interesting that you have gravitated towards flowers. Obviously they are my first passion for photography. I find orchids one of the most difficult to capture well because of their unusual shapes. Nicely captured depth and drama here.
