Every time I go to the Botanic Gardens, I make sure to visit the National Orchid Garden. It's home to over 1,000 orchid species and more than 2,000 hybrids. I love seeing these flowers and I always find something new that I have not seen on previous visits.
Like this orchid. It's a very pale yellow, almost cream, and speckled with deep pink dots. The more I stared at it, the more I thought about how the pattern almost resembles the spots on a cheetah. I'm usually drawn to orchids with more striking colors, such as purple and red, but this one caught my eye and held my attention.
@justeddie Now I'm curious! Why is it a surprise that I like orchids? I like cacti and lizards too. Space horror movies. Loud rock music. And well-built, good-looking, badass pirates in my anime and manga. Is that weird? 8D
Thank you for you answer on yesterday`s pic. even the second pic don`t ring bells This one I know. It`s a `` Phalaenopses `` orchid . I did take 2 of myself and will send it to 365 for yo . As long as you are not a Catwomen you are not weird ( Even if you are I `ll like you ) ( KIDDING )
Lol NOT weird at all, you have posted a few orchid shots in the past is what I was referring too. Humorous Sarcasm, so easily lost in text unless picked up by the reader!
A great, big, dotty and flowery "THANK YOU!" to all!
I probably take more orchid shots than I need to but I just can't resist them. Thank you so much for coming by and sharing my love of these odd and exotic flowers. I appreciate your taking the time to leave a comment.
I dont think I have really seen orchids before, certainly not as you have portrayed them. I have I think caught up with my back comments to you at last and you have really shown us some beauties here.
