@agima I saw the deck which my eye was drawn to and the neighbors dandelions were distracting too. I thought of just blurring them out but I wanted the blurr to be from the fstop setting instead of the processing.
If I read you correct, I think this type of shot really doesn't take advantage of the 5.6 setting either and the blurry effect comes mostly from the distance of the background.

I think I will continue to practice this particular setting so I fully understand the advantages and best uses of this setting.
Good separation from the background. This is because the background is father away.
Not a fan of selective colouring but hey, thats just me.. :)
