No this is not a flower. This group of tussock moth caterpillars has stripped the leaves from this milkweed plant and they are now working on the stem!I took a similar picture of some of their friends last week.. but I took this one for the bokeh theme.
They are just amazing creatures...many,many more than this will strip a large plant in a day!
