The little Black Swallowtail caterpillar is growing by leaps and bounds.I have an unlimited supply of all the things he likes.Parsley,Dill and Fennel.He will overwinter as a chrysalid and emerge in the Spring.Just like viewing insects in real life...best under the magnifier.:)
@tuya I raise them,and Monarchs if I find the eggs.While these are not endangered,I just find them fascinating.But the Monarchs are in trouble,so every one I can save helps. Only a small percent of butterfly eggs will make it if left outdoors.Predators are everywhere.:)
