A feature of British carnivals and fairs is the fluffy fluorescent snakes. I am sure that every parent has had to buy their children one. You get the snake, a bit of 'invisible' fishing line to tie it to the end of the pole you also get. Then child spends the day contentedly twirling the snake up and down the pole. To parents it may be a bit naff. To the kids it is endless amusement all the way home. So the parents get lots of peace in the car, but get poked in the back of the head with the pole. LOL. Parents never win!
