Crossed Oars by netkonnexion
Well spotted and caught - would make a good image for a caption competition. Also think your glass stirrers is great

Beautiful capture. Is there a significance to crossed oars?

Interesting!!

I expect they're really very efficient and got themselves organised but there is something of an Ealing comedy look to this particular moment. Fun capture - nice one!

Great capture.

@yonnie - I don't think so. I am not sure what they are doing actually, but it made a great subject for a shot.

@dulciknit - yes! I like that. Nice one. I though the whole thing slightly comical from the age of British stiff upper lip comedy too.

@netkonnexion It certainly did--I was just curious. Thanks.

A very interesting and fun shot, cant imagine what they are doing and the suburban background adds to the comedy.

Great shot! How cool that you captured the photographer under the covering!

I love to watch these boats , they cut through the water so effortlessly.;
July 23rd, 2012
LOL i think the photographer is getting impatient.

Sue
yes they are all the same height..now line them up quickly!!

My favorite part of this shot Damon is the sign that says, "Private Moorings." I only wish I had a boat to take advantage of such a thing.
LOL Take care, Les

Great capture!!
July 24th, 2012
wonderful colors - i really like that one man who seems to be giving directions to the others - the one with his hand raised, 2nd to the left. almost can hear him, "NO, not THAT way!" - must be close to the dock because with all of them standing, the boat didn't tip over.
July 24th, 2012
I have no idea what they're doing, but it's a fun shot!

great ``catch `` of a beautiful boat
July 24th, 2012

Interesting catch.....nice job on the composition. Love the whole scene.
July 25th, 2012
Is this something like a "Too many gondoliers in the boat spoil the rowing?" situation? I just wonder what the problem was. Is the captain saying something like, "No, Bob, I told you the #5 oar, not the #3!" lol Fun shot!
