Nice article. I've done that before for a family member. I have more fun doing photography for myself. I take photos of my kids in softball and band. I take occasional shots of others and share them sometimes.
Great shot of movement, love the bright red, and the gull. You've really captured the essence of the scene can almost smell the ocean, and hear the noise of the boat and birds. Love it.
@dulciknit - The building is Fort Picklecombe. A historic building that was formerly used to protect the Plymouth Sound from ships coming into the bay. The photography of the ferry is taken from Cawsand in the bay on the South side of the Plymouth Sound.
Thank you for the info. I looked at its sister, Bovisand, as well. Interesting how they have been recycled, as it were. Preserves a bit of history and they get to live again.
@dulciknit - Bovisand is an interesting case in point too because they have a dive centre there for advanced diver training (North sea and all that stuff) as well as a great outdoor pursuits centre. I have done some courses there in the past. As a residential area, business facility and leisure space it is a great example of how old spaces can be used in multiple ways to help a whole community.
What are the buildings please, Damon? They're intriguing.
