Hot Shoe Spirit Level

I bought a new spirit level for my camera months ago. A special offer of some sort. It sat in my camera bag unused for so long I had forgotten it.

Today I was doing some macro work and my tripod was set up on the table with the camera pointing straight down. I just could not get the plane of the shot parallel with the subject. Suddenly, I realised I needed this spirit level.

Funny how things work out. It slides snuggly into the hotshoe fitting on the top of the camera. Instantly my problem was solved. A great little trinket that helped at just the right time. What fun.
