Caracara Bird - Raiding The Washing

The Caracara Bird is from South America. However, this particular species, the Striated Caracara , is from the Faulkland Islands. Apparently they make a nuisance of themselves there because they love to steal red things off the washing lines. So here is one doing just that! They are a particularly comical bird.

that is interesting. Wiki said it is known to steal red objects such as clothing or handkerchiefs, possibly because red is the colour of meat.
