As I usually post in the middle of the night I will leave you with a picture of my neighbourhood from my patio. I live on a steep hillside and look across a valley. I like the view in the day. At night it takes on a different but interesting character. I wonder what lives, loves and mysteries are going on out there behind those curtains.

If I were to snap a shot out of my back door it would be blackness. Nothing but the coyotes howling and maybe a few chirping birds. I feel blessed living in the wilderness when compared to your view. Although, sometimes it feels lonesome. Hahaha, I'm rambling....nice city shot.
Lovely picture and yes, has a touch of mistery. You said something i always wonder myself looking at people. What are they thinking , what kind of lives they have, and i start to imagine and try to guess their story, just like watching a picture :)
reminds me of that song, 'behind closed doors' - don't know who sang it because i think it was c/w and from a long time ago. really nice shot. have a safe trip.
Wonderful view, would be relaxing just chillin out there with a beverage, feet up, looking at the stars...have a fabulous trip..see ya when you get back:)
