I think these are some woodsauropods, poking their heads above the foliage to check for impending danger... don't go near them in case you get trampled!

We have woodsauropods here in the colonies as well Damon. We call them nessygirafaciduous monsters. I'll bet it has a lot to do with the Pilgrims, way back when.
Crumbs! I've never seen any as tall as that before. Great capture, well spotted! They're difficult to see because they usually camouflage themselves with leaves.
Ha! The antlers are unmistakable and being so tall, they can see any photographers that might be around for miles in any direction. This was a lucky capture for sure.
