Yestderday you saw...

Congratulations to Paul Vine [ @pictureit ] who correctly identified yesterdays object as a tool, called a profiler. It is pushed against an object and the plastic slats move up allowing the shape to be retained. The profiler can be used to reproduce the shape. My photo was taken with a piece of wooden moulding in the slats which have been pushed up to take its shape.

Here is a picture of an accurate moulding profile tool made with stainless steel pins instead of my yellow plastic slats...
