Yestderday you saw...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So yesterday was simple, but not good results! It was a pair of Inglefield Flag Clips. Tie one clip to each end of a looping flag halliard and one one each side of the flag. Then either the looping halliard linked to itself (no flag up) or each end of the halliard attached to the each of the flag clips (flag up). These clips are safe only when kept under constant tension. Do NOT use to moor a boat, or teather a dinosaur, it's dangerous. Repeated tightening and loosening will cause them to randomly disengage! Off goes your pride and joy...
Since there are a lot of patriots here and no-one recognised a standard flag fitting, I think I won that one - no one was correct...
Honorable mentions to...
Paula Cook-Farkas - Two loving clasps that cannot bear to be separated.
Net says:-->> LOL... Don't think I have ever heard of flag clips in love before!
Nancy Holte - I'm totally certain that I know what today's object is, but of course, I haven't a clue what it's called. BUT, it's essentially two hooks that you can clasp together to tether a boat to the dock. Right? I am right, aren't I? :-)
Net says:-->> Run Nancy! Its floating away! (See the text above!!!). ROFL.
Lisabell - It’s some kind of clasp, ...not being specific enough yesterday... this answer is not adequate either. So, hmm . . . it’s a gray clasp! Net says:-->> LOL...
Katherine Ann Klinck - Chain link fence from the Flinstones front yard.
Net says:-->> Huge LOL.
Liz (fotomama) - this is easy - a dinosaur teether...duh!
Net says:-->> Look out it's off - coming this way!!! Arrrrrggh!!! (see above).
Paula Brumbe - two beer can tabs linked together so that they will never have to drink alone again.
Net says:-->> Doohicky Award here People!!! LOL.
Alta D© - chain gang member? Net says:-->> Huge groan! LOL.
Vicki K - They look to be eye grab hook thingies, maybe plastic, for rope for boating stuff.
Net says:-->> Flag clips. Can use 'em for other halliards as long as they are not load bearing.
Tashy - I reckon its the hooks that you attach to the rod that you hang a shower curtain from. You've linked them together to confuse us but I have seen through your cunning. Net says:-->> LOL. Nice idea. Cunning atempt at a DH award. So - Doohicky award here People!!!
Mike Warren - neo-Saxon belt buckle?
Net says:-->> Not sure why neo-saxon, but great idea. Definately a Doohicky award!!! Yahy!
ryncediez - a chain link? Net says:-->> Nope! Well not normally anyway...
Camille Bisson - ok, i KNOW what this is and i want it back. this is the link to my dog chain, the only one strong enough to hold my great big dog. he knows i have piglets now and i can't let him outside without me. . .hey, how did you get that. have been looking for it everywhere, last time we saw it, it was on the end of the winch!
Net says:-->> LOL... Doohicky award!!! Yes! (but don't do it. These will release a dog!)
june milner - Ok. have a laugh. Chain for the sink plug but the plug has fallen off. Net says:-->> Doohicky award here people!!!! Yippee!
Keith MacKenzie - a bracelett extender? Net says:-->> Uncomfortable or what?!! Doohicky award!!!
Thanks for trying everyone. You made it lots of fun today. My sides are splitting... See you tomorrow. Take care!
