Yes, of course, what you saw were the exposed top parts of the common pop rivet or blind rivet... three of them in fact.

Geter-righters were... Shanne, Shirley Chetwynd; Kathy A; Alison Bailey, Well done you clever peeps!

Honorable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jennifer C - they are round and metallic thingies Net says:-->> So are pennies, but equally as wrong too.... LOL.
Vanessa Walters - Are they screw heads on a piece of metal Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but close! Yaahy!
mittens (Marilyn) - Washers of some kind?Net says:-->> Sadly not. Hee hee!
Brian Buccigrossi - buttons...for clothes. Net says:-->> Ones you could just pop off? No, sadly, again, not! LOL>....
Mike Warren - Life savers. Net says:-->> Ah ha! Fiendishly small life rings for Lillipuddlians? LOL. Afraid knot! LOL... but a "Doohicky Award!" Yahhhheeea! [OK, you could mean the Life Saver Sweets not rings to throw to drowning midgits. But more fun my way! grin]...
Crazy Girl - screw heads. Net says:-->> Who is screwing with your head! You tell 'em to watch out. We will keep our eye riveted on you! LOL>....
Paula Brumbe - your newest piece from IKEA and from the tree allen wrench bolts I will say it is the side holding the support piece. Net says:-->> Could have been true. In fact this is my latest fabricated applience for the photographic arts. I have fiendishly fashioned a tray to attach my laptop to my tripod so I can shoot tethered. These rivets hold the tray onto a quick release plate. I may photograph it for you one day. Cool equipment! So your explanation was convincing! Ha. Definately a Doohicky award! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEha!
Rick Schies - Snap sockets. Net says:-->> Er... is that American for pop rivets? If so well done. Spot on. If not then I have no idea! LOL...
karenann - New Flavored Silver Life-Savers! You get to taste the first one, Net! Net says:-->> Obviously life savers are not what I think they are!?! Explanations? OK See Mike Warren above. I flunked my American Confectionary Exam!] So a Doohicky Award! Yeeeeehaaaaaawooo!
Paula Cook-Farkas - Spacers, not to be confused with space bars. And they are little ones. Net says:-->> A good try, but sadly not. LOL. I don't get many opportunities to drink in space bars for spacers... LOL.
Thanks for the fun. Another one in the next picture!
It looks like the hands of an alarm clock ?
August 31st, 2011
Well, I'd say it's a clock for sure; possibly the clock in your car, but it seems like it has too many hands to be a car clock.
August 31st, 2011
Hour, minute and second hands on a rather obscure clock.
August 31st, 2011
yes a clock with a second hand as well,and the time was 1.15
A clock
My thought was the levers to close a pressure cooker lid too, but I'm not convinced on this one
August 31st, 2011
Flummoxed! My first thought was a clock, but there don't seem to be enough hour markers and there are 4 'hands' which seems a bit improbable. It's either a clock.... or it's not. :-)
Yeps. Alarm clock.
