Ah, I think everyone got this one - yes a specially designed waffle maker for swotting flies. Or was it a flying waffle swotter... whatever! [Grin].

Correct observers were...
Lisabell; christiq; Paula Brumbe; lorihiro; Lynda Parker; Rick Schies; Howard N; Trina Holub; Vicki K; Doug O.; Nancy Holte; Alta D©; Shirley Chetwynd; Kathy A; Mike Warren; Bev; Sara's Dad; Caroliene; Lesley Barber.
Well done all you clever people!

Honorable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Paula Brumbe - Well if I had one of those yesterday, I would not have had so many insects and creatures think I was the one for dinner. While over here we call it a fly swatter, it works well on most tiny living creatures to insure they are notalive for long. Net says:-->> Nice one. LOL>
- This is a training device for wannabe assassins. You start them swatting and once mastered you move up to heavier weapons such as flip-flops and sandals. So the answer is a residential grade fly swatter. Net says:-->> Excellent. A "Doohicky Award!" Yahooo!
Rick Schies - Get that nasty fly. Net says:-->> Quite right too! a "Doohicky Award!" Yahooo!
Crazy Girl - alien antenna. Net says:-->> Love that idea. LOL. a "Doohicky Award!" Yahhhhhhooo!
Paula Cook-Farkas - Holy Cow!!! You've discovered the Matrix! Net says:-->> Ha ha ha hee hee, ROFL... Loved that one - a "Doohicky Award!" Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhooo!
I'm going to go with fly-swatter. It was my first instinct and I see I'm not alone.
Sue Roth - its for blowing square bubbles. Net says:-->> Brilliant idea. LOL. Excellent one. Top marks and tonights special award, the "I'm forever blowing bubbles" award! Nice one. LOL.
Alta D© - It does looks like its for the fancy squares in your waffle. =)) But I'm going with flyswatter too, in case the fancy waffle squares wont work. =0 Net says:-->> LOL. Another idea that really made me laugh. Honored this one in the opening line above. Excellent. LOL. a "Doohicky Award!" Yahhhhooooow!
Mike Warren - A destroyer of flies. Net says:-->> LOL> a "Doohicky Award!" Yahoghoow!
pixels4u - Fun shot. Net says:-->> Thank you. I just thought I would take a swot at something different for a change. LOL.
Carole Imes - It's probably a fly swatter but I've never seen a fly swatter like this in my life, soooooo I will give it a long shot just to be different ;-) "One of those gadgets you put seafood on to prevent it from sticking to the grill." Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy! BTW you can buy them in the hardware store in Torpoint High Street, Cornwall, UK. They are only 99pence each! Bargin. Alternatively £4.50 for three on Amazon! Plus P&P. Wow. (see... http://amzn.to/r7viY6).
While we are on the subject, I found this little Dohicky on Amazon too [ http://amzn.to/qRIPza ]. Amazing what some people invent. Read some of the reviews. Hilarious!
Well, you all got it again! Well done. Thanks for dropping by.
Will it help my arthritis?
September 7th, 2011
It is definitely a copper bracelet, but I have no idea what origins lie in the past...I think I'm too tired to think laterally tonight.
@digitalrn if only the ancient magnetic powers of the copper banding could save our joints. Seems that an entire full set of copper armor will not help our joints. I do think it is the modern version of hope in a copper bracelet that was originally first marketed by my family and their tall tales.
@brumbe You've been seeing them around for sometime. I wa snever a believer in them, but i know people who have tried them, and they claim they work, but I am not so easily convinced.
September 7th, 2011
@digitalrn was reading in arthritis today (yesterday though), that it is just mental and there is no scientific proof. So my doctor says no need for copper but keep doing yoga.
Copper bracelet for those who suffer with inflammation issues (I think that's why people use them.) Hey, maybe I should get one!
Copper bracelet to help people with arthritis.
September 7th, 2011
Everyone on this side of the pond knows what that is. It is a magic copper bracelet that among other things wards off evil spirits, lowers your golf handicap and relieves 'heart-burn.' If you stay up late enough you may even catch a re-run info-mertial... and, if you purchase now, we will send you both a left hand and right hand model, for just the additional shipping!!!
The copper bracelet for healing arthritis and the sort
September 7th, 2011
@digitalrn there could be some science behind copper bracelets - the enzyme that produces the collagen in your joints is based around a copper ion - so copper bracelets may possibly be boosting the production of this enzyme and then the collagen to protect joints
