Eleanor played in her first hockey game of the season tonight and the weather turned cold, grey, wet and wintery just for them :( First time I've worn jeans instead of short trousers for months!
(I found it hard to take photographs in the poor light and couldn't seem to get the settings right. This is the first time I've tried to take photos of hockey with the camera set on M and definitely need to practise more!)
Well done - hard to get these images in poor light. You could try cranking up the ISO even more than 800 and see what happens. I use a monopod when taking hockey pics and find that it helps keep the camera still. A great action shot - well done.
@dide Thanks Dianne. I tried lots of different settings but it was hard to keep track of which changes were improving things or not. Maybe I could try on my tripod although that's probably a bit too static. However, as I've only just bought that I daren't ask for a monopod too. I think I'd be told to give up photography but not quite that politely! LOL!
@susiemc It is a bit odd when I talk to people in the UK and they're in a completely different season. However, yesterday's winter was quite short lived - it was a beautiful, hot sunny day again today.
