Odeon of Herodes

The Odeon of Herodes is a stone Roman theatre with a capacity of 5,000. It is located on the southwest slope of the Acropolis in Athens. The building dates from 161 AD with a renovation of the stands and orchestra and in 1950. The theater is still in use today for special occasions.

The view beyond is the city of Athens.
