Homeward Bound 2 by onewing

Homeward Bound 2

Stage 2 of our journey home. After leaving Albury this morning, our first stop was for morning tea at Holbrook. The first photo in my triptych is of the submarine monument at Holbrook. Our second stop was for lunch at the freeway services south of Yass. Our stopover tonight is at Mittagong and we called in at the shopping centre to buy milk. In the shopping centre car park are the remains of Australia's first Ironworks - Fitz Roy Iron Works. It was while building the shopping centre that the remains were discovered which brought the build to a halt. The shopping centre was then redesigned to incorporate and display the preserved remains.

Looking at the second sign, you could have turned off and said hi to me in Canberra:)))

Nice triptych. It is always interesting to see what others are up to and where they are going.

That looks like Curium!! What a find. The submarine for people not in Australia is in the middle of the country!!!!! no sea anywhere close at all. I love that submarine.

@gypsy6 It is a bit like Curium. Not as old though. Only about 1850's which is no time at all really compared to Curium eh. No mosaics either!
