We have been into Newcastle today showing Anita around. Of course, we had to go into my favourite second hand book shop at Cooks Hill while we were there.
This photo is of Newcastle foreshore.
Not too hot today, but still a bit windy. Luckily the fires have died down a bit today.
As most of you know, my sister Anita is here on holiday from the UK, so I apologise for not being able to check out all you wonderful photos as often as I would like at the moment. Will catch up whenever I can, but the next few weeks are going to be pretty busy.
@zenna Thanks. Newcastle is about 1 hour from where we live and is an indiustrial city, but still very beautiful with lots of old architecture. It is one of our oldest non capital cities.
@ivan Thanks Ivan. We could do with some rain, I think it is going to be a very long hot spring and summer here. We have had lots of bush fires already.
@joeyc Thanks Joey. I will take a photo of the book shop next time I go to Newcastle. We always come out with armfulls of books. It is a brilliant shop.
@steampowered It is cleaner than UK Newcastle. The steel works closed down a few years ago and although Newcastle is an industrial city it is quite beautiful with wonderful beaches.
