Regrowth by onewing

Regrowth

In October a bush fire went through Fingal Bay and this afternoon I drove up to that area and took another photo of the bush area where the fire was. Today's picture shows how quickly the bush can come back to life in such a short space of time.

PS Only one more photo to go and I have completed my first 365 year.

Great way of showing new growth by using the collage. It real hasn't taken that long to grow back, It would probably take 12 months here.

Wow babs - that's amazing. New Life grows so quickly. Have you got something special planned for photo 365?

that's amazing!

@gamelee It is so good to see the green again. I think it depends on the intensity of the fire. Certainly in our area it grows back really quickly. If the fire is very intense and the trunk of the trees are severely damaged they don't grow back though.

@iwatts Thanks Ian. Yes. Nothing very fantastic, but it is planned.

@angelat Some of the trees on the hills haven't grown back yet, but this area is looking very green. Also the trees at Salt Ash where the other fires were in October have all regenerated too. We went through there on our way home a few days ago.

What an amazing difference, well captured and presented. I am very surprised at how fast the regrowth is.

@humphreyhippo It is good that the bush regenerates so quickly with the amount of bush fires we have out here.

@paulaw Thanks Paula. I have been on catch up this month too. Was a bit difficult with Deb being so ill, but now that she is fine again we can all breath easily.

@zenna @mcmary @sunraye @yaorenliu Thanks so much. The Australian bush does come back pretty quickly. Only in very severe fires does it take longer to come back, if at all. Thanks yao, you are right we can all recover. I have had to learn that lesson during 2013.
