Well it is now the start of a new year and hopefully a brilliant year for all of us.
I know this photo is a little blurred, but it summed up the expectation of the New Year fireworks for me in Australia. A summer evening on the beach with family welcoming in the new year.
This year I am not necessarily going to add a photo taken on the day it is posted, but intend to mix between a diary photo and ones taken throughout the year or previous year, whichever the case may be.
Everyone takes more than one photo on each day and sometimes the ones left behind never see the light of day, so I am going to use some of those this year. Hope you enjoy the choices I make.
Also I have added another album this year and intend to use that album for a monthly topic. This month the topic is street art and I intend to add a street art photo each day for the month of January. Hope you can check it out.
Woo hoo 100% complete... Me 2... We stayed home with the in-laws though to celebrate the new year.. I plan on continuing the project in 2014 but i am not going to be so hard on myself xxx
I like your idea of a monthly topic Babs, food for thought! Fireworks on the beach is a far cry from what we were able to enjoy in the UK last night.... cold, wet and windy!!
@mrsbaldy Thanks MrsB. Just realized that I have been following you for a year and don't know your name!!! Congrats on completing 365 too. I'm not going to be too hard on myself this year either. My other folder will be monthly topics and those photos I have taken throughout 2013. My first month for that folder is street art.
Look forward to checking out year 2 of your project. Happy New Year.
@jackie8 Thanks Jackie. Fireworks on the beach in summer at New Year is excellent. I spent many years freezing in the UK. We are much more civilized in this part of the world!!!
The first of my monthly topics is street art, taken mainly around Newcastle (Newcastle Australia that is). this is my first photo. http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-01-01
Hi @onewing .. Its Vicki... Im toying around with a few ideas for my other alums as well.. My niece {who loves in wa} has started the project this year and she is coming to visit on monday so we will be in each others projects... Lol.. Im pretty excited... Xxx
One thing I especially love about 365 is seeing how people live elsewhere in the world. I'm certainly getting to know quite a bit about life in the UK and in Australia. This is such a wonderful shot!
Bab....did I congratulate you yet! So many today are ending their first year. Very proud of you..as I know some of it has been tough. You have been such a good friend and so supportive and inspiring. Hope to check in on your new album also!!! Wishing you the best year ever!!!!
@mrsbaldy Thanks Vicki, I am sure I must have asked your name before, but I think the heat here at the moment is getting to me ha ha. Sad when the brain goes isn't it!!! I am having a slow start to 2014. Combination of a traumatic 2013 and all our driving over Christmas. Will recover soon.
@mcmary Thanks so much Mary. I agree. I am learning so much about the world since joining 365. I am also seeing scenes from the UK which have changed so much since we left there 25 years ago.
Look forward to checking out year 2 of your project. Happy New Year.
