Lovely atmospheric image. Dare I say for no other reason than I think it would look better, I would have cropped off the top black sky area and made the image more square, concentrating the eye on that super boardwalk.
In case you don't see my response to your comment on my cargo boat picture, this is it: I wanted the ship as big as possible - if I'd included the chimney of the power station it would have had to be portrait format, and proportionally smaller. @ivan@eyesmile Thanks so much for your comments. I had a look at this picture and cropped it to square just above the light and it didn't look right to me. I still prefer it with the black above because the point of my photo was to give the impression of leading the eye to the end of the wharf and then into the blackness beyond. With it cropped, that image for me was lost. Good to see another angle though, thanks for that. Always good to play about with photos.
